Today is the first day of 31 Days of Pink here at Pink Cake Plate!! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness here myself and a few of my best blog friends will post every day in the month of October!!! There will be fun pink pictures and heart warming stories shared all month long!!
Today I would like to share with you my kick off post. I want to share with you a little bit about my sweet Mother!! She passed away while undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer. She has been gone almost 10 years! and I miss her every day. She was only 63 when she passed away that is only 13 years older than I am now. My sweet mother was creative and far more gifted with a camera than I will ever hope to be. She loved animals and even had a pet pot bellied pig!! Everyone who knew her loved her. She was magnetic and everyone wanted to be around her, she was not in the least bit shy very unlike me!!!
This is a picture of her when she was in her 20’s I love this picture because it represents the beautiful confidant woman she was. She is smiling and laughing and you can see she was having a great time!! Gotta love that bouffant hair do!!
I don’t know what color her dress was but to begin “31 Days of Pink” I colored it PINK in honor of this month!! My goal is to raise awareness about Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer awareness!! This is the second year of “31 Days of Pink” and I am so excited to share with you 31 days of uplifting photos, stories and fun stuff all with a “PINK” theme!!
