I used to live in Utah and there was this little Mom and Pop drive in that made the most amazing thick Ice Cream Shakes!! My favorite was Caramel Cashew!! Boy did I love this combination!! I am certain I gained at least 20 lbs from eating these delectable frozen treats!! I have yet to find anything comparable to this here in Arizona but my little brain started working… remember this yummy treat Saltine Toffee ?
Well how about mixing it up a bit???? I am using White Almond Bark and salted Cashews this time!!
Here is the new recipe:
Caramel Cashew Saltine Toffee
Ingredients:
- 40 saltine crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 16 oz White Almond Bark chopped
- 1 C. Salted Cashews
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Line cookie sheet with saltine crackers in single layer.
In a saucepan combine the sugar and the butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over saltines and spread t cover crackers completely.
Bake at 400 degrees for 5 to 6 minutes, or until toffee is bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped almond bark over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes. Spread melted chocolate and top with cashews, drizzle decorative chocolate over nuts. Cool completely and break into pieces.
This is amazing the salty sweet is perfect!! I cant stop eating it!!!
So there you have it day 2!! Enjoy!!
