Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350-degrees. Grease and flour a bread pan.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour and baking soda. Mix in the sugar and poppy seeds. Whisk in wet ingredients until the batter is well combined.
Spoon the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool for about a half hour before turning out to finish cooling on a wire rack. Slide a piece of parchment paper under the wire rack for easy clean up.
Prepare the glaze and spoon over the loaf as soon as it is on the wire rack. Let set for 1 hour to set up. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
