So I made homemade cinnamon rolls a few posts ago but seriously who has all that time to make cinnamon roll from scratch?? Obviously I do once in a blue moon!! So I decided to search around for a way to make yummy cinnamon rolls in about 1/3rd of the time!
I have seen them made with refrigerated biscuit dough but I m not a fan of biscuit dough for cinnamon rolls!
There is frozen bread dough but again we have to thaw it!!
There is refrigerated bread dough but I wanted to use mine for something else!!
At the bottom of the refrigerator in a drawer with the other “doughs” was this…
This looks like a winner!!!
Ok so here we go!!
Here’s the ingredients:
1 roll crescent sheets
filling ingredients:
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
2T Bisquick or flour
1T cinnamon or more if you like!
Frosting
1 1/2 C powdered sugar
2T Soft butter
1/2 t. vanilla
1-2 T milk more if needed
Cooking Spray
First you will need to unroll your crescent dough.
Mix your filling ingredients until well blended.
Spread on dough.
Begin rolling at the short end of the dough.
When done slice.
Spray pan with baking spray and place rolls in pan.
Bake at 425 for 15 to 20 minutes. Until golden brown.
(The first batch got a little too done so this is my 2nd batch!)
Frost with first layer of frosting while rolls are still hot.
This lets the frosting melt into the layers of the rolls YUMMM!
When cool frost with 2nd layer of frosting!
Now enjoy!!
From start to finish about 30 minutes!!!

Wow, I have 2 cans of crescent rolls in the fridge. Can I substitute 1 can for the crescent sheet? These sound so yummy & I really like the idea of Cream Cheese Frosting!
Yes you can use the crescent rolls just pinch the perforations to make one continuous sheet!! Good Luck!

Thanks for the recipe. I attempted a similar recipe with refrigerated biscuits a couple weeks ago, they tasted like canned biscuits! Yuck, at least not what I was going for, can’t believe I didn’t think of cresent rolls!! Thanks again, and I can’t wait to try these….I am intimidated by yeast, so I haven’t ever made homemade ones! This looks great!
