Today I have a fun and easy treat to make that I shared last year at Design Dazzles Summer Camp!! This is a super easy treat your kiddos will love!! This kid friendly treat will have you and your littles whipping these up in the kitchen in no time at all and they will LOVE making them with you. Who doesn’t like cooking in the kitchen with your mom or dad? Are you ready to make some “Red, White and Patriotic Oreos”?
You will only need a few ingredients to make these delicious Oreos!! Mr. Pinkcakeplate loves anything “oreo” so these are hard to keep in the house!
This is a “dip and sprinkle” kind of activity!! Once you have the candy melted, it is dip, shake, sprinkle and your done. In about 10 minutes you have yummy Red, White and Patriotic Oreo’s ready for the 4th of July!
Here is what you will need!
White , red or blue candy melts
Summer Holiday Oreos (if you cant find these regular oreos will work just fine!)
Red, white and blue sprinkles
Start buy putting a sheet of parchment paper on your cookie sheet and set aside. Take your first color of candy melts, and using a small glass custard cup or ramekin carefully melt 1/4 C. to 1/ c. candy melts in 20 second intervals in the microwave making sure to stir in between each interval. Once completely melted you can start dipping those oreos! Just dip the Oreos halfway in the melted candy. Be sure to gently shake the oreos to let the excess candy drip off then you can either dip the oreo in your sprinkles then place on your parchment paper OR you can place the cookie on your parchment paper and then sprinkle with your sprinkles! Either way will work. Repeat these steps with your other colors of candy melts until your done dippin! You can put these it the fridge for about 10 minutes to set up or you can just let them sit out but this will take a bit longer for the candy to set up! Once the candy has set your ready to eat them!! Oh Ya!!
You can even package them up in a cute box or wrapper and give them for a sweet little gift!!
