Have you ever eaten caramel corn and you bite down on an unpopped corn kernel?? Or a corn husk get embedded in your gums?? Ewww right??? Well I have a fun tasty caramel corn alternative!! Karamel Krunch!! I just love this Salty Sweet Treat!!
You have to be very careful with this stuff it is so addicting you wont stop eating it seriously!!! Carmelly and salty and crunchy with a sweet drizzle of white chocolate!! Don’t forget the sprinkles!! They just make everything happy! Don’t they??
This treat starts with yummy “Barrel of Fun” Corn Pops. Then it is covered with a delicious homemade caramel made with brown sugar and butter!!! YUMMMMMM!!
- 1/2 cube/stick butter
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 (8 oz.) bag "Barrel O Fun Corn Pops"
- 2 oz melted white chocolate
- Place corn pops in large roasting pan. Mix first 4 ingredients in 2 quart saucepan bring to a soft boil and cook for two minutes constantly stirring the mixture. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda which will foam stir carefully, then add the vanilla which will steam up so be careful. Immediately pour caramel over corn pops and stir until pops are coated. Spread on cookie sheet in a single layer. Place in 250 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes stirring every 10 minutes. Remove from oven let Karamel Krunch cool then break into bite size pieces. While Karamel Korn cools melt chocolate in microwave. When melted drizzle over Karamel Krunch with a fork then sprinkle sprinkles!!! Let chocolate set up then try not to eat it all!!!
