Are you heading out to a New Year’s Eve party or gathering? Or do you just want a savory snack with a little kick? Well I have seen recipe for savory saltine crackers but I totally love oyster crackers. They are little puffs of salty crispness! with these little gems in mind I came up with this super easy snack! Kickin’ Ranch Crackers!
This super easy recipe calls for only four ingredients! I also found my most favorite oyster crackers at the dollar store!! I am all about saving money but this recipe does call for real butter! I have not tried this with margarine but if you do try it use a margarine with a low water content. You don’t want soggy crackers!
All you do is melt your butter drizzle over the oyster crackers the sprinkle on the ranch dip mix and crushed red pepper flakes and stir until all the crackers are coated. Spread on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
I heat my oven to 350 degrees then I place the cookie sheet in the oven and then because I cook by smell I burn things sometimes so for these crackers I turn the oven off once I place the crackers in the oven. With this little trick I don’t burn these yummy treats!
