I have wanted to share this super easy and cute tutorial for these DIY Metallic Confetti Paint Mugs for the longest time! I love Elmer’s Paint Pens for so many things and it is perfect for these DIY Metallic Confetti Paint Mugs!!
I cannot even begin to tell you how easy these are! But make such a fun accessory or even an adorable hot chocolate mug! Doh! That’s what they are for right???? This would be a great activity for a craft night and the cost is so minimal its fantastic for that!
So what you will need:
- White Mugs {I found mine at The Dollar Store}
- Elmer’s Gold or Silver Metallic Paint Pens
- Fingernail polish remover
- Paper towel
1) Wipe down your mugs with fingernail polish remover to remove any oils from the surface.
2) With one of your paint pens, start at the bottom and just use the tip of the pen and start your dots close together.
As you work to the top of the mug make less and less dots spacing them farther and farther apart.
Don’t aim for perfection. The imperfection is what makes them so cute.
3) Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Once your oven is heated, set your mugs inside and let them “bake” for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn off the oven and let the mugs and oven cool down. That’s it your done!
How easy is that? And these are adorable! Now you can use just about any color you want I think the metallic color makes it look like glitter!! So So cute!
Sooooo what do you think? You ready to make your own?? I know you can do it!!!
