Easter is just a few days away and I am having all kinds of fun with table decor and making cute treats!! Easter is not Easter without deviled eggs!! In our family they are required dish on our Easter table!!
I came across the cutest “Deviled Egg” recipe and I thought I would share how to make these cute Easter treats!!
Don’t these look totally yummy??? Do you want to eat them right now??? Hold on because these are not your “average” Deviled Eggs!!
Look closer!!
They are CANDY!! Yup that’s right CANDY!!! So if you want a sweet treat these are for you!!!
Ok now onto the recipe and the tutorial on how to make these adorable treats!!! I made them in literally less than 5 minutes, this did not include the “setting time” which was about 10 minutes!!
Here is what you will need:
Candy melts in white and yellow. (I used Almond Bark which can be found at Walmart)
Crispy Rice cereal
red sugar
Egg candy mold (I found mine at my favorite Cake Supply Store)
Melt the white candy in the microwave in 20 second intervals stirring in between until it is completely melted.
Spoon into molds.
When filled gently tap the mold on the counter to smooth the top of the candy and release the air bubbles.
Set aside and melt the yellow candy the same as the white.
When melted add the crispy rice (I had about 1/4 cup of candy and scooped in 3 large tablespoon of cereal) Mix until the cereal is coated.
Drop small mounds of the yellow candy on the candy egg.
Sprinkle with red sugar!!!
Your all done!!! Pop them in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes to allow the candy to set!!
I am packaging these cuties and giving to friends and co-workers!!!
I found the adorable tags at Lil Luna!!! Kristyn is awesome!!
If you make these I would love to hear about it!!!
