Summer is here and boy is it hot here in Arizona! We love ice cream in our home but a change is nice too! As I was perusing the #COOLWHIP Pinterest Board I came across sooooooo many yummy and easy every day treats! But I was looking for something a little different and something even a kid could make!!! Ya I love KISS ~Keep it simple silly!!! I love Italian food and even last night I made an awesome Ziti pasta dish for dinner so lets take it all the way home to desert!!!!
A traditional Italian dessert is the amazing and delicious Cannoli but do you know how hard the shells are to make and they are time-consuming! I don’t really want to fry cannoli shells so what to use for an easy substitute?? I came across these yummy Ice Cream Cones at Wal-Mart when I was shopping for my #COOLWHIP !
These are perfect!! No cooking for this recipe at all!!! Gotta love that!!
And I absolutely love #COOLWHIP no lie!! I can eat a whole container frozen or thawed!! So yup that will work to achieve the end result of my #COOLWHIP Cannoli cones!
So now you know you need Ice Cream Cones and COOL WHIP for this treat right? And here are the additional ingredients you will need!
Place the Ricotta cheese in bowl and break apart.
Add 2 Tablespoons powdered sugar and 1t. vanilla, mix until well blended.
Gently fold in 8oz thawed COOL WHIP.
When it is blended place the mixture in a gallon Zip Lock Bag.
Snip off one corner and fill your cone. This is not going to be wedding cake decoration pretty. This filling is too loose to do any real piping with!LOL!
But that is ok because when you sprinkle it with chocolate chips no one will really care what it looks like!
So there you have a quick and simple everyday dessert!!
Here is the recipe so you can print it!!
