I have partnered with Mormon.org to bring you this sponsored post. All experiences an opinions are 100% my own. #LighttheWorld
The holiday season is fast approaching with so much fun and excitement sometimes the meaning of the season can be forgotten. Are you looking for a way to create a special holiday season? Mormon.org has the best message of the season! “Light the World” and with this message they are also having a Worldwide Day of Service. What better way to remember the Saviors birth than to provide service? If you love to cook and enjoy cooking with your kids this “Dinner on your Doorstep” printable kit is a great way to give service!
Jesus fed the hungry and with this kit you can too! It wont take long and your family will not only be Christlike by serving but will have fun in the kitchen. And the smiles later from your recipient will help the whole family feel the joy of service!
There are 2 recipe cards for some delicious goodies but if you have your favorite recipes use them! This shouldn’t cost much either most of the food containers can be purchased at your local dollar store!
Gather your family together and get cooking in the kitchen! It won’t take long. Kids love to cook with other family members so make sure there are tasks for everyone to participate in! As you work together as a family, discuss the importance of service and how this activity gives the opportunity to serve someone in need or brighten someone’s holiday season. (Mosiah 2:17) Discuss who you would like to deliver this “Dinner on your Doorstep” meal to!
Now, it’s time assemble your “Dinner on your Doorstep” kit. Download and print the printables and cut them out! If you have kids that like to cut let them cut out the toppers.Use glue dots or glue stick to adhere the printed toppers on top of the food container lids! When your meal is cooked add them to the containers and put the lids on. Place in your carry bag and head out to deliver!!!! It is as easy as that!
If you don’t want to make a whole meal you can just make a “Sweet Treat” to deliver! Remember to get your whole family involved.
I hope you and your family can make this holiday season more memorable by giving sweet and simple service. Click on the photo below to download the complete kit! Warning this is a very large file but all are PDF’s so they are easily printed!
December first starts the worldwide service campaign by Mormon.org. 25 days 25 ways, serve who you want, any way you want, its as easy as that. I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and magical holiday season!
LIGHTtheWORLD — Follow the example of Jesus Christ. Share His light and serve as He served.

I love this idea so much! I hate spending hours on a meal only to stuff it into lame plastic containers. This is the perfect way to add a little something extra without taking tons of time. Thanks for sharing!!
