I met Sara at a photo workshop she is a sweetheart. She writes about the adventures of being a Mom!! I love her BLOG it is full of fun activities for kids, crafts and recipes. She made the most amazing M&M’s Candy Corn White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies, I have made 2 batches already and it isn’t even Halloween yet!! Sara has taught me so much about the Blog World and the how to’s of blogging.
Sara has graciously provided today’s photo and comments. When I read her comments it brought tears to my eyes and had not even viewed the picture yet. I hope her words will touch your heart like it did mine.
“Pink” is probably not what comes to mind for most when they see this picture. But, the color pink has never been more meaningful for me than it was in that moment! And, it might not be for the reason you think. See, that’s not a little girl there.
Thus far, I’m the mama to only boys! And, that beautiful little one in the picture is my first…the one who made me a mama.
But, when he was born he wouldn’t take a breath and he was decidedly NOT pink. No wonderful cries, no baby on my chest–instead a beautiful little guy who was too stunned to breathe and was a clear bluish shade. After what seemed like an eternity (it was really less than 2 minutes), he finally let out a cry & right before our eyes, turned this most beautiful shade of pink.
So, for me, this pink picture is a reminder of how precious life is and how quickly (for better or worse) it can change in an instant!”
Sara Thank You so much I get chills when I read this. Life is precious and can be fleeting. We need to remember this.
